How to get To Pilsen

Pilsen (Plzeň) is located approximately 90 km west of Prague and is easily accessible by public transport or direct buses.

Arriving via Prague Airport (PRG)

When arriving at Václav Havel Airport Prague, we recommend the following options:

  • Option A: Direct Bus from Airport (Fastest & Most Convenient)
    • Operator: FlixBus
    • Departure Point: Terminal 1 (Bus stop located 80m in front of the terminal)
    • Arrival: Pilsen Central Bus Station (Plzeň, CAN)
    • Travel Time: approx. 1 hour 5 minutes
    • Details: Direct buses run several times a day. We highly recommend booking your ticket online in advance at flixbus.com.
  • Option B: Bus + Regional Bus via Zličín (Frequent Connections) If the direct FlixBus schedule does not fit your arrival:
    1. Take Prague Public Bus No. 100 from the airport to the Zličín metro/bus station (approx. 18 minutes). You can buy a ticket directly inside the bus using a contactless payment card.
    2. From Zličín, take a long-distance bus to Pilsen (operated by FlixBus or RegioJet). Buses depart every 30–60 minutes and take about 50–60 minutes.

Important Advice: Train Connection via Prague Main Station

Warning
We strongly advise against taking the “Airport Express (AE)” bus into Prague City Center or the Main Train Station (Hlavní nádraží) to catch a train to Pilsen. The Airport Express line is overpriced compared to standard transport, and travelling into the congested city centre adds an unnecessary 1 to 1.5 hours to your journey. Using Option A or B via Zličín is much faster, cheaper, and more convenient.

Getting Around in Pilsen & Reaching the Venue

From Central Bus Station (CAN) to Parkhotel

  • Public Transport: Take Trolleybus No. 16 towards Sídliště Bory. Get off at the stop “Sídliště Bory” or “U Teplárny”, which is just a short walk from Parkhotel.
  • Taxi / Ride-hailing: Bolt and Uber operate in Pilsen. A taxi ride from CAN or the Main Railway Station to Parkhotel takes about 10 minutes (approx. 150–250 CZK / 6–10 EUR).

From Main Train Station (Hlavní nádraží) to Parkhotel

  • Take Trolleybus No. 16 towards Sídliště Bory. Get off at the stop “Sídliště Bory” or “U Teplárny”, which is just a short walk from Parkhotel.
  • Take Tram No. 4 heading towards Bory and ride it to the stop Borský Park. Parkhotel is located right next to the Borský Park, a few minutes’ walk from the stop.
